Sessions and Term Dates
At Unique Day Nursery, we are committed to providing exceptional day care and early education for every child, that is flexible and recognises the individual needs of families.
We are open Monday-Friday from 7.30am-6.30pm, offering both full and part time sessions:
- Full Day - 7.30am - 6.30pm
- Morning Session - 7.30am - 1.00pm
- Afternoon Session - 1.00pm - 6.30pm
We are closed for 1 week at Christmas and all bank holidays:

Christmas Break:
Friday 25th December 2026 - Monday 4th January 2027
Bank Holidays:
Friday 26th March 2027 - Good Friday
Monday 29th March 2027 - Easter Monday
Monday 3rd May 2027 - Early May Bank Holiday
Monday 31st May 2027 - Spring Bank Holiday
Monday 30th August 2027 - Summer Bank Holiday
In order to ensure that staff are kept up to date with relevant training, we are closed for 3 Inset days spread across the year.

Fees
Our fees are inclusive of nappies, wipes, meals and snacks.

A non-refundable registration fee is payable to secure your child's place - this is only applicable to places that are not fully funded through government funding.
Funding Options
You may be eligible to apply for early years funding.
- 15 hours free childcare for eligible children aged 2 years old
- 30 hours free childcare for eligible children aged 9 months - 4years
- Tax- Free childcare
- Childcare vouchers
- Universal Credit Childcare Support
To check your eligibility, apply through the Childcare Choices website and create an account. Once you have provided the relevant information, HMRC will review your application and determine whether or not you are able to receive the early years funding.
Funded Hours Term Dates
To support parents and carers in organising their childcare funding, we have outlined our funded hours' nursery term dates below. These dates are aligned with the funding periods set by the local authority, helping you to plan your allocated funded hours effectively.
Please note:
- Funded childcare is typically allocated over these term-time periods
- Any additional sessions outside of your funded hours will incur extra charges
- It is important to confirm your funding eligibilty and codes (if applicable), before the start of each term to avoid disruption
